make a page after you register, letting you know to await authorization email
After i registered, i just got redirected to the home page.
I then tried to log in, and was told I wasn't in the system.
It was only after checking email that I realised there was authroisation needed.
Also, adding an 'your account is pending authorisation' error message when trying to sign in then, is better than not recognising any account (i actually tried to reregister as i wasnt sure if it had gone through okay)

make forum posts appear in ascending order by date, not descending.
Because reading a forum from bottom to top is just downright illogical. Users are used to ascending order from most (all?) forums and comment systems. At the very least it should be an option.

make the feedback forum open in the same window, not a new one
Nothing should EVER open in a new window, with very few exceptions, and this isn't one of them. The fact that it's on another domain is not an excuse.

There should a setting for an account to never disclose your email address.

We think that being invited to a thread is akin to being tagged in a photo in Facebook. You can’t prevent yourself from being tagged in the first place.
What are your thoughts?

remove user's email addresses from the "invite people" bit when creating a discussion.
When you create a thread now, your own email address/account is in the list of people you've recently interacted with, which feels rather superfluous :)

ability to associate thread invites with an account already made
i was invited under one email address, but have signed up under another.
I am getitng lots of thread invites and chatter in threads from friends to the one i'm not signed up under.
When i log in, my dashboard is empty and i can't see those threads, as im not in any of those threads under my signed up email.
If it helps, i can post in those threads using my signed up account from the link in the email to my none signed up one.
(Let me know if you need clarification :-P)

make feedback forum posts come up under your Quetzi name if logged in to Quetzi.
I know it's not technically easy since the feedback forum is hosted off site (why? laziness?), but that's no excuse!

Sorry, as far as I know, this is impossible >_<

offer to save anonymous preferences
There should be an option to set your anonymity preferences for each discussion. So I should be able to say always reply to this thread anonymously. This should prevent any accidental posts that you didn't want associated with yourself.

You can use quetzi to spam
With the email notifications and the protection of anonymyity, you can spam people, yes? Start a spam discussion, invite people to talk about it, and boom! spam in their inbox. Fundamental flaw in that you're sending automated emails without interacting with the users beforehand, yes? People will get pissed about that. Very least, you need a nice: someone's invited you to join this discussion email...
(oh, and: is it necessary for the links emailed out to be user-tied?)

"Free as in gratis and free as in libre"?
Does this mean the source code is avaliable? I have always wondered about what happens to open-source when everything moves to the internet...

We’re referring to the discussion itself, not the software that hosts it.
The discussions can be free as in gratis (no need to pay to discuss) and free as in libre (no fear in discussions) :)
